Eddie Diamandi
A graduate of the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts, Eddie spent his early childhood touring and performing around the world with his father for The Great Moscow Circus. His graduating film, Rigor Mortis, picked up the Best Director award at the VCA and went on to screen in various festivals around the world, including Palm Springs International Shortfest, New Orleans Film Festival, and Melbourne Queer Film Festival.
In 2015, Eddie was awarded the AMP Tomorrow Maker award, and the initiative funded the production of the short film Emily, which went on to be selected into the MIFF Accelerator Lab.
Eddie's experience of having grown up in a traveling show has given him a unique perspective in the Australian film landscape. Much like a circus performer, Eddie seeks out the extra in the ordinary. No matter how small the story may be, his approach is always to find the most exciting and unique way to tell it
